Lucille Mary Wagner Lucille Mary (DeSimone) Wagner, 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, August 1, 2020, in Roswell, Georgia. She was born February 3, 1930 to Nicholas and Antonina (Vitrano) DeSimone in Chicago where she lived till she was a teenager, before moving to Lombard, IL. She married Henry Richard Wagner on October 28, 1950 in Lombard, IL. He preceded her in death on June 3, 2008.Lucille worked as a secretary for the government in Washington D.C. from 1950-1952.Following this she kept busy raising her three sons before she went back to work at St. Procopius College in Lisle, IL as a secretary from 1965-1968 and then in executive placement in banking from 1968-1978 when she switched to a job in sales for All Points Publication Company where she worked until she retired. She will be fondly remembered as being the queen of craft and artistic projects, which included ceramics, knitting, and quilting, and are displayed in her many signature homemade Christmas gifts that she has given to family throughout the years. She was also known as a great cook, avid reader, and creative writer. Lucille is survived by her three sons, Stephen (Cindy), Paul (Sarah), Peter (Julie); 24 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren and three on the way. In addition to her parents and husband, Lucille was preceded in death by her sister, Anne Barbara DeSimone, brothers-in-law John Wagner and Joseph Wagner, sisters-in-law Andrea (John) Wagner and Margie (Joseph) Wagner, daughter-in-law, Donna (Paul) Wagner, and grandson, John-Patrick Wagner. Family and friends will be gathered for her funeral services which are to be held at Silver Cliff Chapel on Saturday, August 22nd. Visitation will start at 10 a.m., until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with Fr. Philip Dinh-Van-Thiep officiating. Burial will be in Silver Cliff Cemetery following the funeral Mass.
