Carol Evon Stewart

Carol Evon Stewart, 82, of Crandon, Wisconsin, was peacefully received by God’s angels on Sunday, December 13, 2020. Born on May 6, 1938 to Harold and Bertha Wood, she lived her life in Crandon until recently moving to enjoy the warm winters in Florida. Carol married the love of her life, Richard, on May 4th, 1957. She worked at Schaefer’s Grocery store for 23 years. Carol was a kind soul who put other’s needs ahead of her own and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Everyone she knew, she considered a friend. Carol enjoyed playing cards, taking rides in the car, going out to eat, talking on the phone, and keeping in touch with her family and friends with her iPad. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother (GiGi), sister, aunt and friend. Carol is survived by four daughters, Donna Stewart; Cheryl Stewart; Barbara (David) Wolff; Lisa (Jaime) Phillips; one son, Kevin Stewart; six grandchildren, Kyle Stewart; Justin Wolff; Bruce Moore; Kelsey Wolff; Richard Webb; and Skyler Stewart; seven great grandchildren, Kaliyah Stewart; Salena Moore; Preston Moore; Aspen Stewart; Kordell Stewart; Jordan Moore; and Natalie Moore; four sisters, Lois (Harold) Wickham; Kathy (Charles) Cross; Virginia (Gary) Lee; Betty Faust; brother, Richard “Dick” Wood; and numerous nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years and her parents. A special thank you to Dr. Koeppl of Ascension in Rhinelander and Freedom Village of Bradenton for their loving care and support. The family will be conducting a celebration of life and graveside service later this spring. Weber Hill Funeral Home is assisting the family during this time.
