Obituary:
Harry L. Lauritsen, 87, Lakewood, died on Feb. 1, 2010. He was born in Kenosha, Wis., on July 7, 1922, to the late Harry and Laura (Martin) Lauritsen.

Harry married Lois Seelman on Feb. 7, 1948, in Kenosha, Wis. Harry graduated with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a First Lieutenant in the Combat Engineering Unit in Central Europe.

Harry and Lois moved to Sheboygan in 1951 where he worked for Plastics Engineering Company for 37 years as Plant Engineer, retiring to Lakewood. He served in the National Ski Patrol over 35 years and held various positions including Section Chief and Patrol Director at Norway Mountain. Harry was also a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He enjoyed baseball, skiing, baton twirling, golfing, volleyball, hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Lois; children, Susie and John Blaise, Jim and Judy Lauritsen, Ron and Carol Lauritsen, Keith and Jill Lauritsen, Renee and Glenn Neils, Scott and Carla Lauritsen; grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Christine (Matthew), Jessica (Andrew), Jennifer (David), Joshua, Joceyln, Jacklyn, Jesse, Janette, Christopher, Robyn, Dylon, Leah; great-grandchildren, Santi, Chad, Bryce, and Madalyn. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Seelman and Myra Seelman; also by his companion and friend, his dog, Cooper.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant sister.

Friends may call at Suminski Funeral Home, 1768 Oconto Ave., Wabeno, Wis., from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday. Memorial Service 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Mueller.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Harry's name. The family would like to thank the medical staff at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, 3rd floor ICU.
