Name: John Eastman Date: April 3rd, 1954 - November 25th, 2009 Obituary: John Mathew Eastman, age 55, of Crandon, WI passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on November 25, 2009 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Rhinelander under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice. John was born at Ovitz Hospital, Laona on April 3, 1954 the son of Orin Eugene and Pauline (Robinson) Eastman. After high school he began working from Roger Smith Drilling, at that time the were drilling at the ore deposit in Mole Lake. Later John moved to Salt Lake City, Utah and worked for Tonto Drilling. John married Julie Kemp in 1976. She preceded him in death on December 19, 2003. Due to his declining health he retired in June 2008 and returned to Crandon. On July 24, 2009 he married Sandy Marvin. John enjoyed hunting, fishing and classic cars. He is survived by his wife, Sandy Eastman, Crandon Daughter: Kathy Eastman, Whitewood, SD Son: John (Kelly) Eastman, Greenville, WI Sister: Karen Honkala, Crandon Brothers: Eugene (Andy) Eastman, Crandon Dave (Laura) Eastman, New Berlin Gordon (Jane) Eastman, Sheboygan Jeff (Joyce) Eastman, Kettle Moraine Kenny Eastman, Texas Grandson: Anthony James In addition to his wife, Julie he is also preceded in death by his father, Orin.
