Name: Bruce Conte Date: September 13th, 1933 - October 14th, 2009 Obituary: Bruce J. Conte, age 76 of Townsend, WI. passed away on October 14, in Madison WI. He was born September 13, 1933 in Milwaukee to Edlore and Mildred (Lehman) Conte. Bruce joined the Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He married Dorcas Ross on April 30, 1960 and together they raised two children. In 1986 he retired after 20 years in sales and moved to Townsend. Bruce loved the northwoods and his community; so much that he joined the Townsend Fire Department and was a member for 20 years. During that time, he also worked as a deputy coroner for 4 year and the Forest Service for 5 years. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Bruce is survived by his wife; Dorcas Daughter: Pari (Doug) Boudro Grandchildren: Louis, Samantha and Aron Daughter-in-law: Danille Conte Brother; Robert (Karen) Conte and Joe (Linda) Ackeret Preceded in death by his parents and one son Rick Visitation was held on Monday October 19 from 4-7:00 p.m. at the Suminski-Weber-Hill Funeral Home, Wabeno. Funeral Service followed at 7:00 p.m. Pastor Donald Dewing officiated. Suminski-Weber-Hill Funeral Home, Wabeno assisted the family with the arrangements.
