Name: Vincent Johns Date: January 13th, 1933 - April 23rd, 2009 Obituary: Vincent “Vince” H. Johns, age 76, of Crandon, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2009 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Rhinelander. Vince was born January 13, 1933 in Crandon the son of the late Joseph and Octavia (Pelkofer) Johns. Vince married Joan Parent on June 27, 1953, she preceded him in death on March 5, 1994. On October 11, 1998 at Praise Chapel Community Church, Crandon he married Shirley Elick. Vince was really a wonderful man who loved children and enjoyed playing with them. He was a loving, kind husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Shirley of Crandon Daughters: Rita (Tom) Glander, Saukville, WI Pam Sokol, Stockbridge, GA Sons: Ronald Baake, Milwaukee Glenn Johns, Milwaukee Sister: Patricia Harry Step-Children: Beverley (George) Schultz, Argonne Sandy (Paul) Conley, Crandon Judy (Tom) Marvin, Crandon Patricia (Ronald) Collins, Goodman Robert Elick, (Sally Maxon), Crandon 21 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren and 12 great step-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Octavia; wife, Joan; son, Randy; and sister, Anita. Visitation was held on Monday, April 27 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Weber-Hill Funeral Home, Crandon. Funeral services followed at 1:00 p.m with Pastor Bill Farr officiating. Interment was at Crandon Lakeside Cemetery.
